Poem Name:
''Because I could not stop death''
He kindly stopped for me.
car of eternity,
A sad sight to behold.
He gently invited me inside.
His presence is cool and clear.
I stepped into its darkness
And whispered, "Death, I fear."
But death, in all its grace,
Soothed my soul.
He spoke of the end and the beginning,
of the mysterious purpose of life.
The vehicle traveled through time and space,
Memories of the past are left behind.
We traveled through the tapestry,
Of all that I have described.
We passed through the field of innocence.
Where childhood dreams lived.
I saw joy and laughter there,
He could never stop time.
The car drove us forward,
At the crossroads of desire.
Where passions burned and love flowed.
Like a consuming fire.
I saw the faces of lost loved ones.
And the pain of love is incalculable.
the bitter taste of desire,
Hearts hurt so deep.
We moved on through the twilight glow,
Where the shadows danced and played.
I saw pain and agony there.
In hearts that had betrayed.
The car took us to wars,
Where brave souls died fighting.
I saw sacrifice and honor.
In the eyes of the heroes who were crying.
We passed through the land of knowledge.
Where the candle of wisdom was burning.
I saw a thirst for understanding.
Divine in the hearts of seekers.
The car drove to the end,
Where it was dark.
I saw the curtain that separates.
A survivor of the fall.
Death turned to me and spoke softly.
“My love, your time has come.
But fear not, for this is not the end,
It's a start, obviously."
He led me to a soft door,
That opened the light.
I stepped into the unknown
With heart and light.
Because I could not stop death.
He showed me the great plan of life.
And when I crossed that last line,
I woke up from the sweet dream of death.
Because death is not an enemy.
But a guide along the way.
To remind us of our halcyon days,
And the beauty of fall.
So let us live with an open heart
And cherish every breath.
For when death is kind to us,
We will salute him without regret.
